Today (17 April 2026) marks the 25th anniversary of the release of our debut album Monument.
Recorded during 2000/2001, Monument brought together songs from across the band’s history which began back in 1979. Barring a few ‘demos’ and numerous live recordings Monument represented the many changes that had occurred over the years. Tracks such as The City Gates, East Of Arabia and The Iceman Cometh had become integral parts of those live shows. Another Open Door, a very early track, had only recently received a re-airing after a long absence. It turned out refreshingly well and serves as a reminder of our earlier rockier days. Since then the band have released two more albums, Ashes For The Monarch (2015) and Island In The Sky (2021)…
Currently the band are in the process of recording the vocals for the fourth album which will be titled Mark IV in memory of our drummer Mark Burley who passed away suddenly in 2023.
